Denver, Colo. - Linden Tree is pleased to announce the release of Melle Johnson's debut recording entitled "sound of faith." "'sound of faith' is a New Age recording, in regards to the creative process used in making it," Johnson said. "It's probably one of the more unique albums ever released under the New Age banner. Lyrically it has that mystical, magical viewpoint combined with instrumentation from late 60's rock and more contemporary indie influences."

Johnson produced the album with no gaps to bring out the continuity from one track to the next. "The album is really designed to be listened as a whole. I hope you pop it in and 35 minutes later feel more invigorated and empowered for life. " The album will be available for purchase online at the Melle Johnson E-store, through Amazon.com and at appearances. Songs can be heard at Last.fm station or at mellejohnson.com.

Affirmative prayer, intention, and meditation were used throughout the production of the album. "I wanted to experiment with these ancient technologies in this world of digital technologies," Johnson said. Johnson refers to his music as "quantum folk" because it combines the spirit of rock with an intention to affect people at their gut emotional level. Influences for the album ranged from Brian Wilson, U2, John Lennon, Neutral Milk Hotel, to writers such as Esther Hicks, Ernest Holmes, Paulo Coelho and Marcelo Gleiser.

The lower case spelling of the album is meant to emphasize the more generic connotation of faith. "This is an album about what I have faith in, obstacles to that and contains all the things I love about music," Johnson said. "These songs aren't mine so much as labeled with my energy. They are containers that I have invited my friends, spirits, guides, all those around me to fill up with their sounds, feelings and emotions," Johnson said.

The music was produced almost entirely by creative people in the Denver metro area. Soundlux Recorders is based in Aurora and all the musicians and artists live on the Front Range. "Colorado has transformed from Cow Town to Evangelical Town to hotbed of progressive spiritual pluralism," Johnson said. "Denver could be the next Nashville of positive music. Certainly I have seen the talent."
